Mayor Scarredy.

Mayor Scarredy is the mayor of Wonderfalls, a small town south of the Forever Forest. Mayor Scarredy appears only in Mysteries of Fire Island, playing a very minor role at the beginning and end of the game.

Mayor Scarredy's first appearance is in the second hub area the player visits in Mysteries of Fire Island, when pieces of burning sky have begun raining down. Mayor Scarredy is not there until the player talks to Morklin, at which time Mayor Scarredy will appear. Mayor Scarredy's primary purpose is to give the player the town keys so that the player can continue with Morklin into the next area.

If the player talks to Mayor Scarredy again after Mayor Scarredy gives the town keys, Mayor Scarredy will compare the current plight with other problems that have befallen Wonderland: the Rainbow Coins going missing, the Wee Stinkers being swept up by a storm, the Rainbow Spirits appearing, and The Void beginning to expand (in other words, the four previous Wonderland games). Mayor Scarredy will also note how one brave Stinker or four always saved the land, referring to Stinky, Loof, Qookie, Peegue, and the player.

Mayor Scarredy appears again at the end of Mysteries of Fire Island, after the player has apparently retrieved the Star Key and come home to save Wonderland. Mayor Scarredy greets the player as he or she uses the Home Glyph to travel back to Wonderfalls, exchanging some pleasantries and then sending the player off to complete his or her mission. Mayor Scarredy won't talk to the player as much as Mayor Scarredy did in the beginning of the game.

By Mayor Scarredy's own admission, Mayor Scarredy is a coward. If the player asks him or her if Mayor Scarredy wants to accompany him or her and Morklin, Mayor Scarredy says that Mayor Scarredy is too scared to do so, adding "they don't call me Mayor Scarredy for nothing!" Few other aspects of his or her personality can be discerned, as Mayor Scarredy does not say very much throughout the game.
