Why don't we just use "he"? It's the most likely gender for SPARKY! and it will make the article look better and be easier to read. As a side note, "They" or "Their" in the place of "He/She" or "His/Her" is grammatically correct and gender-neutral, plus it reads much better. The reason we should not use "he or she" is because it makes whoever wrote the article look like he doesn't know anything about what he is writing, so the article looks unprofessional.
Repeated "SPARKY!"'s make the article very confusing to read, and it also make the article messy.
