Cages are wooden cages in Wonderland Adventures and Mysteries of Fire Island that drop when the player, a critter, or an NPC steps on the tile underneath it, rendering the object in the cage immobile. In some levels the goal is to trap all Crabs or Scritters in the cages, though destroying the critters also counts toward this goal. Cages can also be opened and closed with buttons.
Trivia
For some reason, Thwarts, Ice Trolls, Fireflowers, and Iceflowers (the latter two being placed in the cage with the Flip Glitch) can shoot even if they are inside a cage. However, they cannot shoot a player that is inside a cage.
