A map of The Foggy Mountains as seen in Wonderland Secret Worlds.

The Foggy Mountains are a mountain range in the northern part of Wonderland. They are first mentioned in Return to Wonderland Deluxe Edition and make reappearances in Wonderland Secret Worlds and Wonderland Adventures. They are located north of The Plains.

Description

The Foggy Mountains consist of many rocky mountains spanning east and west. The tallest mountain lies to the east and is topped with ice and snow. Its summit is known as the Foggy Peak. A complex cave system lies within and beneath the southeastern portion of the Foggy Mountains and is simply known as The Caves.

There are several other landmarks in and around the mountain range. Crystal Lake is located in the west part, and the Lost Wonderland Mine is found towards the peak of one of the central mountains. Qookie's cottage is located in the foothills to the south. Although inaccessible, a spring appears to be located in the southeast part. This spring is the source of the river that runs through the eastern part of the Plains.

Appearances

Return to Wonderland

The Foggy Mountains first appear in the Deluxe Levels set in Return to Wonderland. The second chapter, Under the Foggy Mountains, sees Stinky and Loof ending up in the cave system beneath the mountains after being transported by the Great Wonderland Gateway. The third chapter, Qookie's Cottage is set somewhere west of the mountains in the foothills.

Wonderland Secret Worlds

The Foggy Mountains are further explored in Wonderland Secret Worlds as part of Stinky's, Loof's, Qookie's, and Peegue's quest to rescue the little Stinkers and serve as the game's sixth major area.

Levels

By pressing up when Avalanche Alley is highlighted, The Lost Wonderland Mine can be accessed, and if the player presses right when Foggy Peak is highlighted, they discover the path to Cloud City. Several Gold Stars must be collected here and in The Caves to pay the 15 Gold Star fee to cross The Great Wonderland Sea to Fire Island.

Wonderland Adventures

In Wonderland Adventures, the Foggy Mountains are accessible by taking the Foggy Mountain Footpath north of the Plains and going through the Ice Caves. Just outside of the cave entrance is where OobibanDeNoobi has a tent set up and teaches the player how to use Brr Magic. West of the area with the Ice Caves entrance is Crystal Lake where the Blue Shard is being locked up by Gaboonga. East of OobibanDeNoobi's tent is a trail that leads up to the Foggy Peak. To hike up the trail, a metal key must be obtained from Gaboonga.

Several Adventures can be found in Crystal Lake, off the trail leading to the Foggy Peak, and around the peak itself. Gaboonga wrote down clues to the combination lock guarding the Blue Shard on a hike to the Foggy Peak on signs along the way, and completing Adventures on the trail and around the peak rewards the player with these clues. These Adventures can potentially be skipped if the player already knows the combination.
