Crab
Crabs are animals in Mysteries of Fire Island. They come in two colours; red and green.
A Red Crab's behavior is like a Scritter's behavior, except it can go into water and make the water's surface above it act as a floor tile. Red Crabs will run away if the player is 3-4 steps away, unlike Scritters, who run away if the player is 2 steps away. If a bridge is activated in the water tile that the Red Crab is in then the Red Crab will rise with the bridge and act as it does normally again.
When the player goes near a Green Crab, the Green Crab will pop out of its shell, and will from then on attempt to follow the player. If the player walks into a Green Crab, it will go in a random direction. Green Crabs are also smaller than Red Crabs.
If a bridge raises under either type of Crab while the player or a Critter is on top of it, then the player/Critter will be destroyed.
