I, Z-Bot is the first level in Top of the World and introduces Z-Bots. The level is made up of multiple rooms going through the basics of them.

Walkthrough

Z-Bots are very fast enemies and Stinkers cannot outrun them. It is best to locate certain safe-spots when running past various rooms containing them. Similar to other enemies, objects like coins register as a wall for them until they are collected by a Stinker.

First Two Rooms

The first Z-Bot's path and safe-spots in the first room.

Refer to the first room image for safe-spot indicators and the path of the Z-Bot. The bonus coin can be collected easily, as well as pushing the button to advance.

To collect the bonus coins in the second room, it is wise to collect the two coins against either the north or the south sides at the same time as the Z-Bot is turning away from Stinky, so that the Z-Bot's movement is even and predictable.

Last Two Rooms

Stinky must collect all of the rainbow coins at this point to open the exit gate to the last room. Similar to the last room, it is recommended to make transfers through the Z-Bot hallways as the Z-Bots turn away from Stinky.

After collecting the coins, the last Z-Bot must be diverged to pushing the yellow round button for the exit. First, get ready to push the west box down. Push right after the Z-Bot leaves the button passage and get ready to push down the other box. Push right as the Z-Bot hits the west box to catch it. Push either box towards the button one space but not beyond the button, followed by the opposing box to trap the Z-Bot onto it. The exit should now be open.

Trivia

  • The title of the level might be a reference to the book "I, Robot".
