It's usually only good for visual effect on scenic levels. In action levels it makes the gameplay much more difficult as you can't see as much of the area around the Stinker, and it's harder to move your Stinker around the level (e.g. in the platinum edition of Return to Wonderland, in the level pack that comes with the game ("The Platinum Set"), there's a level that's challenging and has the 3D View which makes it difficult). A really good level to have the 3D View on would be a maze level with barely any enemies, because this makes it harder for the player to figure out the way through the maze, thus making a challenging level.

Sound effects like a Coily bouncing around or a Scouge firing will not be heard in 3D View. This is probably a bug.

Usage of 3D View in custom levels is not recommended because it makes most people dizzy, causing them to not even try to bother with it. Not many people use the 3D View in their levels, because it would be too hard if you had too many enemies in a 3D View level and most Wonderland players like to use enemies in their levels.
Prefrences
The 3D View turns the level into a 1st person view!
*3D View makes the level 3-Dimensional to make it look like your actually moving.
*When in a level with the 3D View, you can't use the "Shift-Key" to look around.
Techniques
*A good level with the 3D View would be a level that's simple, kind of a maze and a bit challenging with barely any enemies (like the level in the picture).

3D View

3D View (or 1st-person View) is when a level is played from the 1st-person, meaning that you view the level from the Stinker's point of view, instead of the usual top-down viewpoint. This feature only exists in the platinum edition of Return To Wonderland.

It's usually only good for visual effect on scenic levels. In action levels it makes the gameplay much more difficult as you can't see as much of the area around the Stinker, and it's harder to move your Stinker around the level.

Sound effects like a Coily bouncing around or a Scouge firing will not be heard in 3D View. This is probably a bug.
