Bridges are common game-play objects in the Wonderland series. They make appearances in both sub-series.

Classic Trilogy

The eight non-custom styles of bridges in the Classic Trilogy.
The bridge selection screen in the Return to Wonderland Editor.

In the Classic Trilogy, bridges are tiles that can only be stepped on a limited number of times- for this reason, they are also known as break tiles. While there are metatiles that can cause a bridge to withstand up to 94 steps, the standard bridges can only withstand one, two, or three.

Only Stinkers can step on bridges. They will act like walls to any other game-play object, except for Fireballs, UFOs, Rainbow Spirits and Ghosts, all which travel over them.

The style of a bridge depends on the texture of the level. In some cases, bridges that can withstand more steps have a different texture.

Wonderland Adventures Trilogy

The four styles of alternating and regular bridges.
The four styles of collapsing bridges.

Bridges serve notably different purposes in the Wonderland Adventures Trilogy. They come in four colours and three types.

Alternating

An alternating bridge's adjustment panel in the Wonderland Adventures Editor.

Alternating bridges rise and fall at regular intervals; if the bridge falls while an object is on top of it, the object will be destroyed (except for Dragonturtles or Red Crabs which will float). TimerMax1 shows the frames a bridge spend both above and beneath water, and Timer is the delay the bridge has before initially rising. Strings of alternating bridges with TimerMax1 50 and Timer increasing by 25 are frequently used in adventures.

Regular

Regular bridges never change positions unless toggled by a button or hit with Pop.

Collapsing

Collapsing bridges are distinguishable from other bridges by being smaller. Once they are stepped off of, they deactivate and submerge, and can only be activated again by a button.
