Glyph

From WonderWiki
(Redirected from Home Glyph)
From left to right: Fire Glyph, Friend Glyph, Time Glyph, Ice Glyph, Home Glyph.

A Glyph is a type of item that was introduced in Wonderland Adventures: Mysteries of Fire Island. When used near a Magic Mirror, the mirror becomes a portal leading to a place dependent on the type of Glyph used. A Glyph’s magic is tied to the individual carrying it, so Glyphs may lead the user to either a set location or to a location unique to the user. Five Glyphs have been officially seen throughout the game though Shiver states there are many more.

Name Destination [1] Location Special Properties
Fire Glyph 57.wlv, (12,29) The Volcano N/A
Friend Glyph 61.wlv, (4,24) A friendly place (Acid Pools in Mysteries of Fire Island) The Friend Glyph likely takes the player to the Acid Pools because the Wonderland Pirates have set up camp southeast of the pools.
Time Glyph 56.wlv, (47,54) A place earlier in the user's history (Retro World in Mysteries of Fire Island) Because the Retro World Adventures are themed around the Classic Trilogy, this could be a meta reference to how the player may have played those games before. This glyph takes Shiver to their favorite childhood spot where they spent much time as a little Trolley.
Ice Glyph 66.wlv. (28,24) Sundog Island N/A
Home Glyph 57.wlv, (12,29) Home (Wonderfalls in Mysteries of Fire Island) The Home Glyph used in MoFI is a generic item with no power. The Home Glyph is coded in the game and uses a unique, rainbow-themed texture when used on a Magic Mirror, but its destination location is the same as that of the Fire Glyph.
