A Prism is a box type that was introduced in Return to Wonderland Deluxe Edition. It is a light-blue upright square prism nested on top of a gray octagonal stand.

Prisms act similarly to Reflectors, but they are single-use. When a fireball hits a Prism, two more fireballs are fired perpendicular to the original path (for example, if a north-travelling fireball hits a Prism, the new fireballs will travel west and east), and the original fireball will continue on its initial path with the prism being destroyed in the process.

The orange arrow is the original fireball's path. The green arrows represent the path of the fireball after it is split by the prism. The purple arrow is the fireball's path after it hits a reflector.

Oddities

  • If a fireball hits a Prism while moving (for example, if a Stinker is pushing it), the Prism will absorb the fireball without being destroyed.
  • If a Prism is moved into a moving fireball, the Prism will break without splitting the fireball, and the fireball won't be extinguished.
  • If a Prism is directly in front of a source of fireballs (i.e., Scouges, UFOs, and Fire Stinkers), then any fireballs will pass through the Prism without breaking it. This is demonstrated in The Treadmill.
