Scouges are cannons that shoot fireballs in a certain direction. There are 4 different speeds of firing that can be assigned to a Scouge. These are in all games of the Classic Trilogy.
In Wonderland Adventures, Scouges are replaced with Fireflowers. In Mysteries of Fire Island, Scouges return, but are only seen in the Retro World.
