Forever Forest
The Forever Forest is an expansive forest located in eastern Wonderland. It is situated east of the Creepy Keep and west of The Void and borders The Wasteland to the south.
Description
The Forever Forest covers a large part of eastern Wonderland. Many Stinkers consider the forest to be dangerous because many travelers get lost on its winding paths. While much of the forest consists of dense trees, there are several elevated areas, most notably the Lonely Top in northeast part. From the Lonely Top, a river runs southwest through the center part of the forest forming lakes in several places as well as the Wonderfalls in the south part. One notable landmark is an old cabin in the southeast part of the forest that gives details on the Rainbow Stars. Forest's End is located in roughly the same area, and the area between Forest's End and the Lonely Top is referred to as the Forbidden Forest.
Appearances
Wonderland Secret Worlds
The Forever Forest is the ninth major area in Wonderland Secret Worlds (tenth if Cloud City is cleared first) that Stinky, Loof, Qookie, and Peegue visit on their quest to rescure the little Stinkers. The first level, Clearing a Path, is accessible as soon as the player gains access to the Creepy Keep. However, the Forest Map must be obtained by clearing Heart of Fire in The Volcano to venture deeper into the forest. 15 Gold Stars are needed to move on to The Wasteland, so at least 6 Gold Stars must be obtained from other areas.
Levels
After obtaining the Forest Map, the following levels become accessible:
- Dangerous Encounter
- Friends' Help
- The Meadow
- Forest Spirits
- Forest Lake
- Crossing the River
- Chompers!
- The Old Cabin
By pressing up when Forest Spirits is highlighted, the player can access the secret level Secrets.
Wonderland Adventures
In Wonderland Adventures, it's revealed that due to the dangerous nature of the forest, Stinkers have used The Great Wonderland Gate to visit Forest's End and beyond. However, ever since the Rainbow Shards were unearthed and the gate stopped working, Forest's End and the eastern part of the Forever Forest were cut off from western and central Wonderland.
The player is able to warp to the Forever Forest using the Red Shard once they have crossed the Rainbow Pool in the Temple Ruins. More specifically, they are warped to the top of a hill just southwest of Forest's End. East of this hill is an intersection with a path leading north to Forest's End. Further east is the entrance to the Wasteland, but a deep chasm prevents access by foot. West of Forest's End is the Swamps of Solitude and Jaana's tree nursery. Besides these areas, the player mainly traverses the Forbidden Forest north of Forest's End to reach the Lonely Top where the Green Shard is located.
Adventures
Besides the Adventures in the Forbidden Forest and Forest's End, there are two Adventures located in the section of the forest west of Forest's End:
- Sunken Paths
- Lost Mail (available once Noosee is spoken to in Wondertown and the player speaks with Jaana)
Both of these Adventures are optional.
Wonderland Adventures: Mysteries of Fire Island
Although the player does not visit the Forever Forest in Wonderland Adventures: Mysteries of Fire Island, the western part of the forest appears in the zoomout during the game's ending.
Wonderland Adventures: Planet of the Z-Bots
In Wonderland Adventures: Planet of the Z-Bots, the western edge of the Forever Forest is accessible by using a Rainbow Portal north of Star Summit and going east from the Creepy Keep. Cedric-in-the-Morning has taken refuge in the forest because of the Z-Bot invasion. After explaining Wonderland's predicament and the player explains Hawking's plan, Cedric-in-the-Morning reminds the player of how to use Blink Magic and urges the player to go to the Wonderland Academy. The player must cross a body of water to reach the Forever Forest River where Captain VoosciDiGoomi has a boat moored and offers to take them to the Academy to the south.
Adventures
- Blinking Around
- Flight to the River
Both of these Adventures are required to progress through the main story.
