The Caves
The Caves are a cave system located beneath the Foggy Mountains. They first appear in Return to Wonderland Deluxe Edition.
Description
The Caves extend throughout the Foggy Mountains range. They are known to extend beneath the southeast and central parts of the mountains. Additionally, The Lost Wonderland Mine takes place in a cave near the summit of one of the northern mountains though it is unclear how much of the cave was formed by mining activity. Being in a snowy region, certain floors of the Caves are known to ice over. However, there are parts of the Caves with magma pits suggesting geological activity in the region.
Appearances
Return to Wonderland

The Caves first appear in the second chapter of the Return to Wonderland Deluxe Levels set, Under the Foggy Mountains. Stinky and Loof are transported here by the Great Wonderland Gateway, and they must find a way out. As they make their way out, they spot a strange shape beneath the magma and get a bad feeling about it. They eventually exit out of an opening near Qookie's cottage.
Wonderland Secret Worlds
The eastern part of The Caves is explored by Stinky, Loof, Qookie, and Peegue in Wonderland Secret Worlds. On their way to the Foggy Peak, the quartet pass through several of the caves with one of them requiring a bit of puzzle-solving to escape. From Entrance to "The Caves", one part of the path branches off towards the Foggy Peak and the other part leads deeper into the Caves.
Levels
Besides Entrance to "The Caves", there are four more levels that take place in The Caves.
Gold Stars may be collected here to pay the fee for the ferry to Fire Island. By completing every available level outside of The Caves up to that point, The Caves may be skipped entirely.
In the Secret Worlds story in Stinky and Loof in Wonderland, the levels taking place in The Caves take place under The Volcano as opposed to the Foggy Mountains. The chapter corresponding to The Caves contains Entrance to "The Caves" (albeit with an altered setting and formatted as Entrance to the Caves), the above four levels, and The Lost Wonderland Mine.
Wonderland Adventures
In Wonderland Adventures, the player passes through a section of the Caves in the central part of the Foggy Mountains known as the Ice Caves. The Ice Caves are accessible by taking the Foggy Mountain Footpath from The Plains. Two of the caves visited contain an ice maze, and the latter cave contains a StarGate blocking the way further. This StarGate is unique in that it has a toll of -6 Stars meaning that the toll is 6 more Stars than the player's current Star count when they first enter the cave with the StarGate. Depending on how many Stars the player has when they first enter the cave with the StarGate, the Adventures in the Ice Caves may either be skipped entirely or be required to progress further. The last cave explored is a path to the exit to the exterior of the Foggy Mountains.

Tokens
- In the cave with the exit to the Foggy Mountains exterior, go on the ice to the left of the exit and slide all the way down and to the left then follow the path up to the Token.
