Buttons and Bridges is the third level of Training Grounds which introduces square and round buttons and pits of water. It also introduces the mechanic of pushing wooden boxes into water to form bridges.

The first set of rooms contain square buttons, which turn off their respectively-coloured gates. The next area has a set of round buttons which only disable gates and conveyor belts if someone or something is pressing it down. Further down the level, boxes are utilized to form bridges into water, with an array of bonus coins near the end. Various rainbow coins are collected on the way, and players don't have to worry much about all of them when getting to the exit.

Walkthrough

While the first half may be straight-forward with the introduction to buttons, the second half with bridge building may become a slightly harder scenario. Pushing the boxes in wrong directions (against a wall, for instance) may result in starting over.

The Buttons

  • Push the pink square button to open its gates. Head to the northern room, pick up the coins, and push the yellow square button to head down the south passage.
  • Go around one of the crates to push it onto the green round button to open the green gates, then collect the coins in the side rooms before heading further south.
  • Ride the conveyor to the round conveyor button, which will stop the conveyors so that you can head east. Again, go around the box and push it onto the button. Then walk past the conveyors while collecting the next coin.

The Bridges

  • Just like before with the round buttons, go around the first box and push it into the water to form the first bridge.
  • Use both boxes in the next room to form a bridge spanning two tiles. You will need to start over if you push any of the boxes towards a wall, which you cannot push back from.
  • After building the second bridge and walking across, do the same with another bridge spanning three boxes. Make sure you form a straight line of boxes in the larger pool.
  • To collect the bonus coins, push down the left and right boxes into the pool, then push the center box left or right and forward onto one of the floating boxes to form another bridge. Do not push the center box forward into the pool from its starting point.

All there is left is to push the cyan square button, collect the last coin, and go to the exit.
