Steel and Wood is the ninth level of Winter in Wonderland and introduces steel boxes. The level demonstrates how steel boxes can block off Scouge fire, destroy any colliding wooden box, and how they sink in water.

Walkthrough

Upon starting the level, do not use Loof to push the steel box down the southern ice path. The box will block off access to some rainbow coins. Instead, push the box Stinky has and go down the eastern ice path, but leave that box alone afterwards.

Beyond the eastern path, push the next steel box in front of the Scouge so that Stinky can safely collect the three rainbow coins to the east. After collecting these coins, proceed through the conveyor belt and to where the line of four rainbow coins are on the west side. Collect all four of them.

To get the nine bonus coins on the southwest corner safely, ensure you have never touched the steel box where Loof was at the start. Keep Stinky where the four rainbow coins were and push Loof's steel box at the starting point down the south ice path. Use Stinky to push the same box to the east and down the passage facing the Scouge. The box should block all fire from the Scouge and the coins can be collected.

To get to the exit, push the steel box down the sliding wooden box room (this part is safe) and the other two bonus coins may be collected halfway through. To form a bridge to the exit, two steel boxes must be stacked on each other in the water. Push the box closest to the water first, then the box you just pushed through the previous room. Collect the last coin and go to the exit with both Stinkers.
